I’m delighted you are considering the possibility of hiring a professional Interior Designer… doing so may be the best investment you make in making your house a home! As a professional with a design degree and 23 years of experience, I can guide you through every step of the design process. My background was in Business Management for The Boeing Company before returning to school to earn my design degree. Since then, I have been the Principle of my own design firm spending one of those years as the Design Manager for a nationally recognized design/build firm in the Seattle area winning both a regional REX Award and a National Chrysalis Design Award.
As we work together, my focus is just as technical as it is creative, designing your space and working thru all of the details which will need to be addressed during implementation. I can do as much or as little as you need from a simple “sanity check” here and there, a basic color-consultation, lighting and plumbing fixture selections, etc… to full-service interior architectural design including construction drawings, finish material selections, custom tile design, custom furnishings, etc… The individual details of each project are important, yet it is vital to never lose sight of the overall concept in order to give you a beautifully planned home… I can help you keep that in sight as the design / build process can be overwhelming.
On a personal note, I love living a simple life full of simple pleasures… cooking gourmet meals with my husband & entertaining friends, backyard BBQs & long evenings around the fire pit, working in my garden & canning my harvest, estate sales & up-cycling my treasures, trips to Rockaway Beach, playing with our four Blue & Red Healers, hiking in the mountains of the Eagle Cap Wilderness and swimming in beautiful Wallowa Lake here in Joseph, Oregon. And of course, spending as much time as possible with my family, especially my grandchildren Gracelynn & Jackson!
