VALLEY HEIGHTS - CUSTOM HOME
I was so excited to design this home for a city couple moving to the country, drawing on a concept they had had for over a decade! I worked closely with the contractor on numerous details during construction to ensure my vision was interpreted correctly. The floors on the main level of the house are a stained concrete. With just a touch of Tuscan, the beautiful kitchen features distressed rustic alder cabinetry, black leather finish granite counters, custom niche tile design with pewter inlays and a custom-designed steel island base to support the striking Red Dragon granite. The client found a source for reclaimed wood and we used it for accent in several areas including an inlay in the dining room, the custom barn-door leading to the upper floor and in the niche above the fireplace. The master bathroom features a huge walk-in shower with his-and-hers entrances adjacent to his-and-hers opposing vanities. And although the gorgeous tub isn’t ADA accessable, the rest of the hall bathroom was designed to be ADA compliant, complete with a floating vanity and plenty of turn-around space.
