GRUESSHABER PROJECT
When the owners purchased this lake front home, there were two complete and outdated homes; one on the upper floor and one on the lower floor. The remodel design called to completely reconfigure both floors - opening up walls and taking advantage of the lovely lake view. Downstairs, we again modified the window size and placement and designed a huge open-concept master suite with a stylish and modern version of a Japanese soaking tub, the Cube by Kohler. The spa-like walk-in shower was completed with a rain shower and body sprays. The end result is clean and modern with colorful touches and accents, including a custom “true north” concrete inlay in the master bedroom. Upstairs we increased the size and lowered the windows, designed a huge open-concept great room with sleek espresso finished maple cabinets, quartz counters and dramatic Tech Lighitng Rohn pendants in the kitchen. And for the guest suite, we modified a hall bath into a Jack-n-Jill bathroom with a “suspended” quartz vanity with wall-mounted faucet and vessel sink. We also removed an old tub with a odd tile platform and replaced it with a spacious walk-in shower.
