SYME OUTDOOR LIVING

Occasionally I’m asked to do something I’ve never done before and I’m always up for the challenge.  This back yard project was centered around a lovely koi pond which the clients wanted to feature.  The scope of the project included a built-in seating area on the new deck, a full outdoor kitchen, something unique to accent the pond and a ton of flagstone for a free-form patio.  Since there were no small children in the family, I presented the concept of a rounded step directly down to the pond for optimal viewing and for easily feeding the fish.  Trex boards were custom curved by the manufacturer to achieve the unique arc.  The end result won a Rex Award in 2012 for Best Exterior Project under $50,000.
